Item Preparation

  • We are asking that each consignor bring in a minimum of 15 items
  • Please make sure all items are clean without holes or stains
  • Remember clothing is limited to 150 tagged items. Hangers containing multiple items with one tag will count as one item. (Dancewear and costume do not count as a clothing item.)
  • Our tagging system will not automatically stop you at 150 clothing items. Please keep a record of your items as you are entering them.
  • Large toys, including playhouses and ride-ons, should be scrubbed clean
  • Clothing should not be wrinkled, faded or outdated and should have no holes, missing buttons or broken zippers
  • All clothing needs to be hung on hangers and secured with safety pins to the top of the hangers (if needed). Wire hangers are preferred. Please do not use small, plastic hangers that come with infant clothing.
  • Clothing should be hung so that the front of the item and the hanger form the number “2”
  • Two-piece outfits should be pinned together on one hanger, both pieces of clothing should be pinned together
  • Pants should be pinned from the waistband to the top of the hanger. Please do not fold pants over the hanger
  • Tags on clothes should be safety pinned to the upper right front of clothes (as you are looking at clothing)
  • Secure tags on clothing with one safety pin located in the center of the tag, with the safety pin in the vertical position
  • All clothing items need to be placed on hangers, except onesies, which may be placed in zip lock bags
  • Small items should be grouped together and placed in a zip lock bag with the tag inside (i.e. hair bows, socks, onesies, hats and gloves)
  • We can only accept a maximum of 5 pairs of shoes per consignor. Shoes should be connected together but not placed in zip lock bags (zip ties work well for this). Tags should be connected to the shoes with a safety pin on top
  • Items not on hangers (toys, play equipment, etc.) should have their tags securely taped on with clear packing tape, just don’t tape over the barcode
  • All battery operated toys and equipment should have working batteries in them
  • Any item brought in a zip lock bag can have the tag placed inside the bag, not taped to the outside
  • Puzzles and games should be taped shut or placed in a zip lock bag so pieces are not lost
  • Loose pieces to games and toys should be placed in a zip lock bag and securely attached to the item, so they do not get separated and lost
  • DVDs, CDs and videos need to be in their original cases with the tags taped to the back. Please ensure that CDs and DVDs are free from scratches that effect their play. If “bundling” DVDs, CDs or videotapes, place in a zip lock bag
  • Car seats need to have the original manufacturer sticker attached with the date clearly readable. Please go to www.carseat.org to ensure your car seat in NOT on the recall list
  • Unassembled items (furniture, larger toys) should have the instructions included
